A day in the life...

Just wonderin' if I'm the only one
who makes CHEEKY babies???
Must be in the genes...!!!

Excuse me...

Those are mine...
 When I'm 80 or 90,
you can have them...

And well....

Who doesn't love
a good hairbrushing....???

Dude thinks
he's a Harley rider.

Cute and dangerously cuddly.
(just don't touch the slobbery drool bib and you'll be ok...)

How a 4 year old
and her 1 year old brother play:
 Must have been "toque day"?
Oh, but don't forget your mitts!!
...Or, rather, boot gloves....

I know what you're thinking....
Too many kid pics.
But just be glad I didn't post
baby's PC...
(Plumber's Crack)
I think I'll save that one
for his wedding day...

And this post isn't called
"A day in the life..."
for nothing...

Seeds and weeds and flowers and such.

I wanted Brooklyn to witness a plant grow.
So we planted some seeds.
Cucumbers first.
And then they all died...
So, we tried again about a week ago with beans,
in more breathable containers:

My bean
 HA! Such a goof!!

A week later,
and VOILA!
The beans sprouts are turning into
Jack's beanstalks, so tall!!!
We've also got tomatoes on the side
and cucumbers, again, in another container.
It's so lovely and neat to see such life grow!

On a similar note.
Related to planting a seed
and letting it grow...
My baby boy turned 13 months old

It never ceases to amaze me
how fast these babies grow.

I love my little weeds.
Even though I consider them
flowers in bloom.....

Roses are red...

....violets are blue.
These rose earrings were made,
Just for YOU!!

I took these photos just after 7pm!
7:00 pm at night.
Just after my baby's bedtime.

I missed out on photos at lunch today,
so was pleasantly surprised
when baby boy went to bed
and I still had the sun shining in on my kitchen table
(directly on it, in fact)!

The photos still have a little yellowish tinge to them
considering the sun angle and resulting shadows,
but still not bad!

I never, ever thought that the plentiful
spring and summer daylight hours up here
would be to my advantage
(well, except during those days as a teenager
that I walked home at 4am! hahah!).

But now that I have 2 young bébés.....
daylight is not on my side...
My 4 year old is too smart for her own good,
and asks quite defyingly
(and logically, I might add):
"Why is it bedtime?????
The sun in still out and shining!"

Good question kid....
There is a reason.
But you don't need to know until you're 8!
Now GET to bed!!
hee hee ha haa!

I did some mental math....
(via my memory from those past 4 am summer mornings)
And I figured out that by the summer solstice,
I should be able to reproduce similar pictures
(a la above)
of my goodies at nearly MIDNIGHT!
And I may just make an experiment out of it!
So stay tuned.... :)

Ahh, the Land of the Living Sun!
Well nearly...

besides the Northern Lights,
is one of those many things
that I absolutely love about
living in the North!!

In any case,
these lovely, little red rose stud earrings
shall be posted online and up for grabs
sometime tomorrow.

Enjoy your Thursday evening!

Beaded Black Asymmetrical Necklace

Here is a new necklace I worked on recently.
It's bold, it's black and it's super elegant!

Thinking about working on a few other varieties...different colours.
Think you can handle that?! ;)
I just have to get to it, is all.
I seem to work in spurts.

I am soooo happy that spring has arrived!!
I could almost feel the new life blooming underneath all the remaining snow.
I just *know* there are some little seeds sprouting under there...
The snow must be like a warm blanket during this time of year,
a perfect cover for an unsuspecting, sprouting little seed.
Brooklyn and I will be replanting her (huge!) cucumber seedlings this weekend.
They have already grown SO big since she planted them two weekends ago!
She's super excited and I'm always so happy to see a smile on her face!

Hope you all enjoy your weekend!!

Lemon Quartz Necklace with Asymmetrical Turquoise & Red Rose Pendant

My new fave :)

People are amazing.
Really and truly.

I am astounded by the acts of kindness
everyday that many people do.
And not for anything in return.
Okay, well maybe for a smile...

What can you do to "carry it forward"?

Brighten up someone's day
and be that amazing person to someone.

Open a door,
buy a coffee,
help to pick up a fallen book,
give your warm jacket to a shelter.

It all adds up.
The smiles I mean.
And the contentedness in your heart.

Taking turns.

It's very important to wait your turn to talk.
My house is very well disciplined this way....

jokes, jokes!
